  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and RDP.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles.
  • Ability to break down complex problems, plan and execute projects, and communicate solutions clearly.
  • Proven track record in customer-facing IT support roles.
  • Entrepreneurial drive—someone who thrives on autonomy and is excited to take ownership of a new function.

Salary: £35k
Working Hours: 8:30 – 5:00pm Monday – Friday
Holidays: 25 + Bank Holidays

Bytes Digital is an established technology solutions provider with over a decade in business communications. Now, we’re launching our IT support and services offering—and we’re looking for an ambitious IT professional to lead this new department from day one.
This isn’t just another support desk job: it’s a unique opportunity for you to design, build, and own our IT service offering, shaping how we deliver IT support to our customers in the years ahead.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Technical Support
  • Provide 1st-3rd line IT support for customers, including ticket logging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Build the IT Offering
  • Design and implement processes for IT support, deployment, monitoring, and aftercare.
  • Define and develop our IT services portfolio in collaboration with our sales team to meet customer needs.
  • Systems & Infrastructure
  • Install, configure, and maintain systems such as Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Exchange, Synology, Ubiquiti, 3CX, MDM, and networking equipment.
  • Department Leadership
  • Establish supplier relationships to broaden our IT solutions.
  • Create documentation, knowledge bases, and internal processes to ensure scalable, efficient service delivery.
  • Develop and refine support policies, standards, and workflows.
  • Customer Engagement
  • Occasionally attend customer sites for installations, audits, and support—so a willingness to travel within the UK is essential.
