SUMMARY

As an IT Support Tech at APT Healthcare, you will play a vital role in supporting our Clinics IT. This position is essential to our mission of providing high-quality care while ensuring that our Information Systems and staff receive and maintain optimized support.

REQUIREMENTS AND SCHEDULE

  • An Associate Degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field is preferred
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel OneDrive, SharePoint and Outlook Web/desktop)
  • Experience in troubleshooting Wi-Fi and networking issues (IP, Wi-Fi, DNS)
  • Experience in set up, configure and repair desktops and laptops
  • Experience in set up, configure and maintain printers
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Prior experience with Raintree EMR software a plus
  • Prior basic experience with FortiGate Firewalls a plus
  • Must own a reliable vehicle, have a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
  • This is an “In Person” position that will be assigned to the region of the Tidewater and Richmond, VA areas, with a schedule of Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM, with availability by phone until 7 PM to provide support in an emergency situation. Up to 75% of this position will include travel between the Richmond and Tidewater areas.
Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to clinical and non-clinical staff via phone, and in person
  • Troubleshoot hardware/software issues with desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices
  • Basic support of Electronic Health Record (EHR) system (training provided)
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding and device provisioning for new staff
  • Maintain accurate documentation of support activities and IT assets
  • Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff when necessary
