Description Detroit Defense is seeking an IT User Support Technician in our Troy, Michigan facility to support the internal company infrastructure. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Level 1 Help Desk support for internal company users. Coordinate with IT staff and users to resolve all technical issues and escalate if required to ensure smooth business application processes through the internal ticketing system. Coordinate with IT and HR staff to install and configure desktop solutions for new on-site and off-site users. Collaborate with vendor support contacts to resolve all issues for desktop equipment and software applications. Coordinate with the IT team and assist in maintaining that all information is secure. Assist IT team in network and hardware projects. Meet all client hardware requirements and verify to fulfill service level agreements (SLAs). Install and support client applications and train all users to use applications appropriately. Collaborate with and provide assistance to the IT Staff when needed. Support IT asset tracking, receiving, tagging, recording, and assigning computing, telecommunications, and mobile assets. Documentation Specialist for the creation and maintenance of IT related documentation, and How To/Help instructions. Requirements A bachelor’s degree (preferred) or associate degree from an accredited college or university in the Information Technology and related IT work experience. Ability to obtain a Common Access Card and a U.S. Government Security Clearance if required. Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint a plus. Knowledge of Windows, Windows Server, Entra/Azure AD. Knowledge of hardware such as but not limited to desktops, laptops, and printers. A+ Certification, Security+ Certification is a plus. Self-starter with a desire to eliminate wasteful activities and create world-class operations. Strong help desk communication skills.
