Diamond Search Recruitment is advertising this vacancy on behalf of our client.

Our client is a long-established and highly respected legal firm with offices across Kent. They are committed to delivering a professional, approachable and client-focused service, while maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment for their staff.

We are seeking a proactive, enthusiastic and hands-on IT Support Technician to oversee and support the firm's IT function across multiple office locations.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, takes ownership of tasks and is confident working independently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and improving the firm's IT infrastructure, supporting staff with day-to-day IT issues and ensuring systems remain secure, efficient and reliable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support the firm's case management system, including Partner for Windows (Tikit).
  • Provide hands-on support for hardware, software and IT-related issues across the firm.
  • Manage user accounts, onboarding and IT setup for new starters.
  • Deliver Partner for Windows training and provide general IT guidance to staff.
  • Ensure the availability, integrity and performance of IT systems and networks.
  • Oversee regular system updates, backups and software licensing.
  • Monitor systems for vulnerabilities and implement proactive security measures.
  • Support GDPR compliance, cybersecurity and data protection requirements.
  • Manage third-party IT suppliers and software providers.
  • Lead IT projects, including upgrades, migrations and infrastructure improvements.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of the firm's websites.
  • Travel between office locations when required.
  • Carry out additional IT duties as reasonably required.

About You

The successful candidate will be practical, responsive and confident taking ownership of an organisation's IT function.

You will have:

  • Previous experience in an IT support, IT management or similar hands-on IT role.
  • Experience managing or taking ownership of an IT function.
  • Knowledge of Partner for Windows (Tikit) or other legal case management systems would be advantageous.
  • A strong understanding of Microsoft 365, networks, hardware, cloud systems and cybersecurity.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic attitude with a strong “can-do” approach.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical users.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A reliable, hands-on approach with a willingness to continue learning and developing within the role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role and wants to take ownership of a broad IT function within a professional and established organisation.

  • Diamond Search Recruitment is acting as an employment agency in relation to this vaca
