Description:

We are currently seeking an experienced and dynamic IT Support Technician to join our team. This full-time, on-site position will be based out of our Carrot River location, where you will be providing front-line technical support to staff, assisting with hardware and software troubleshooting, and ensuring prompt resolution of IT issues. Reporting directly to the IT Supervisor, the IT Support Tech will play an important role in maintaining the day-to-day functionality of our technology systems and delivering excellent support to our team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
  • Respond promptly to help desk requests, logging and escalating issues as needed
  • Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals
  • Support communication systems, including VOIP, mobile devices, and video conferencing tools
  • Install, update, and troubleshoot software and operating systems
  • Document and maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and system configurations
  • Assist with IT projects and system upgrades
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of IT policies, procedures, and user guides
  • Manage the IT asset inventory, including recycling and disposal of retired equipment

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, experience, and technical skills:

  • At least one year of experience in a Help Desk or IT Support role (internships/co-ops welcome)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, including Windows 10/11, Office 365, basic networking, and Active Directory
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate effectively with users of varying degrees of technical knowledge
  • Strong ability to work well under pressure and independently with minimal supervision
  • Organized, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies
