JOB SUMMARY
The role of an IT Support Technician is to provide the first level of technical support to clients, and to resolve or escalate incoming technical issues, via our dispatching software, as they appear, as well as assist with on-site deployments of computer hardware.
As Sudden Technologies works with a variety of different technologies and industries, the successful candidate will have the ability to think logically about a problem, and also to know when an outside perspective is needed to help resolve an issue.
In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will be interfacing regularly with clients. This means that the ability to be polite and courteous is necessary. We don’t have an environment where customer service is scripted, and our interactions with clients are typically personable, and relationship-based. The ability to know how to explain technical concepts in relatable ways, and to manage client’s expectations, will prove invaluable.
QUALIFICATIONS/KEY COMPETENCIES:
· 1-2 years of relevant computer helpdesk experience in an office environment (Desired)
· Self starter with the Ability to work alone or in a team
· Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
· Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license
· Owns a vehicle
· Strong Documentation and organizational skills
· Must be willing to occasionally work outside of office hours (8:30 am – 5:00 pm M-F)
· Must be willing to occasionally work outside of the Lower Mainland (Interior/Island)
· Ability to lift 20-50lbs
· Experience with Connectwise a bonus
TECHNICAL SKILLS REQUIREMENT:
· Experience Troubleshooting Desktop/Server Hardware (Desired)
· Working knowledge of MS office and Microsoft 365/Intune (Desired)
· Working Knowledge of desktop/server Hardware (Desired)
· Experience in a help desk environment
· Experience in troubleshooting Microsoft Windows desktop OS issues
· Experience in basic troubleshooting common peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, etc.

Provide tier-1 help desk support to end users
Dispatching of Incoming tickets to Technical Team
Work on desktop deployment projects for customers (sometimes outside of normal office hours)
Responsible for providing a wide range of desk-side support including imaging of PCs, OS support, software support, printer support, etc.
Working closely with end customers to resolve issues and ensure resolution of problem tickets.
