POSITION OVERVIEW Summary The Tier 1 Helpdesk Technician is the first point of contact for end users seeking technical assistance. This role focuses on basic troubleshooting and support for hardware, software, and network-related issues in a Microsoft Intune-managed environment. Key Responsibilities Respond to user inquiries via phone, email, or ticketing system (Jira,). Diagnose and resolve basic technical issues (e.g., password resets, printer issues, software installations). Escalate complex problems to Tier 2 support. Document issues and resolutions in the helpdesk system. Maintain knowledge base articles for common issues. Assist with onboarding/offboarding tasks (e.g., account setup, hardware provisioning). Support users with mobile device enrollment and configuration using Microsoft Intune. Monitor device compliance and assist users with remediation steps via Intune. Imaging and deployment of Laptops and Desktops as well as Asset Recovery. Required Skills Basic understanding of Windows/Mac OS environments. Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and common business applications. Basic understanding of Microsoft Intune. Apple Business Manager (ABM) and mobile device management. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to follow procedures and work in a team environment. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities. Respect for company policies and confidentiality. Ability to document processes and procedures. Physical and Mental Demands Flexibility, composure, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks. Professional attitude and the ability to provide leadership and maintain confidentiality. Physical activities include writing, typing, reading, speaking, hearing, seeing, sitting, bending, reaching, and lifting 15 lbs. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) preferred. 0–2 years of experience in a technical support role.
