American Crane & Equipment Corporation (ACECO) is looking for a motivated IT Support Technician I – Temp to Hire to join our high-performing Information Technology team.
In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for technical assistance, helping internal users resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues while supporting system setups, configurations, and maintenance. Temporary Assignment Period: 90 days from start date
Temporary Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00AM-4:30PM | Full-time hours on-site
Compensation: $18-20 per hour to start based on experience and qualifications | No additional benefits are offered during the temporary assignment period (A comprehensive benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and other employee benefits will be offered if this assignment converts to a permanent full-time position with American Crane & Equipment Corporation.)

EDUCATION & SKILLS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, and common business applications
  • Understanding of computer hardware, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Previous IT support, helpdesk, or related experience (including internships, school projects, or volunteer work)
  • Familiarity with ticketing systems
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or other relevant certifications

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support to internal users via phone, email, and ticketing system
  • Diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and network issues
  • Assist with setup, configuration, and deployment of workstations, laptops, and peripherals
  • Support end-users with Microsoft 365, Windows, and other company-approved applications
  • Document troubleshooting steps and solutions in the ticketing system
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff when necessary
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and assist in asset tracking
  • Perform routine maintenance and updates on systems and equipment
