Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Industry certifications are an asset (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, ITIL Foundation).

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3 years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Experience supporting ERP systems and production-floor technologies is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ITIL practices and service desk operations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network issues across desktop and server environments.
  • Diagnose and resolve computer hardware and software problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, mobile devices, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Assist with the management and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls under supervision.
  • Support ERP and mid-range systems used in manufacturing and business operations.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and group policies in Active Directory.
  • Assist with user account setup, permissions, and password resets as required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and other enterprise applications.
  • Maintain and deploy desktop images using standard imaging tools.
  • Monitor and maintain network connectivity, including wireless access points and VPN.
  • Ensure compliance with software licensing and IT security policies.
  • Document support activities, solutions, and procedures in the IT knowledge base.
  • Participate in IT projects, including system upgrades, rollouts, and infrastructure improvements under guidance.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on IT systems and best practices.
  • Monitor service desk and handle issues in a timely manner.
  • Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior IT staff or external vendors when necessary.
  • Support the implementation of IT security protocols and backup procedures.
  • Assist in reviewing and enhancing support workflows and identifying areas for automation.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the IT industry.
  • Other duties as assigned
