Day-to-day tasks include diagnosing and repairing PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals, installing and configuring operating systems and applications, and assisting with network setups, upgrades, and troubleshooting. The role also involves responding to service tickets, documenting work performed, and communicating clearly with customers to resolve issues on-site and in the workshop. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Burnley, working closely with the wider team to ensure prompt, high-quality customer service.QualificationsStrong hardware support skills, including PC, laptop, and printer diagnosis, repair, and component replacement.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows desktop and server) and common business applications, with ability to install, configure, and troubleshoot.
  • Basic to intermediate networking skills, including understanding of routers, switches, cabling, TCP/IP, and small-business network setups.
  • Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
  • Organizational skills for managing multiple support tickets, documenting work, and following established procedures.
  • Valid UK driving license and ability to travel locally to customer sites when required.
  • Previous experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or repair technician role is preferred.
