REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in Windows Server and Windows desktop support.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365 administration.
  • Hands-on experience with network hardware and security configurations.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, VPNs, and firewall management.
  • Experience with cybersecurity tools such as antivirus, SIEM, and vulnerability scanners.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001) is a plus.

Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive IT Support Engineer to join our team.
This role involves providing day-to-day support for users, assisting with the administration of Windows Server environments and Microsoft 365, and contributing to the security and reliability of our IT systems.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity principles and be eager to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities include troubleshooting technical issues, supporting end-user needs, and helping to implement security measures across systems and data.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (NOT EXHAUSTIVE):

  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for Windows Server
  • Diagnose and resolve issues on Windows 10/11
  • Administer and troubleshoot Office 365, including user setup, configuration, and issue resolution.
  • Maintain customer/user accounts in Active Directory and manage permissions as required
  • Configure and troubleshoot network switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Perform advanced network troubleshooting including TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, and VPN technologies.
  • Resolve customer issues via ticketing systems, phone, and email.
  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices across systems and networks.
  • Monitor and respond to security incidents, including malware infections, phishing attempts, and unauthorized access.
  • Assist in the deployment and management of endpoint protection, firewall rules, and security patches.
  • Support user awareness training and promote secure computing practices.
  • Manage daily network back up operations in our Veeam software
  • Document technical procedures, security incidents, and resolutions.
