JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused IT Support Technician to join our team for a part-time role, working three days a week in a school environment.
Whilst this role is intended to be 3 days a week, we are open to hearing part time requirements within reason.
We are a managed service provider who pride ourselves on becoming trusted and valued members of our client community. We are looking for an engineer who can maintain high communication standards while providing excellent and prompt service.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys busy support, working in a school environment, and assisting users with their technology needs. You will represent our company with a friendly, can-do attitude, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service and support.
You would be working based at a nearby school within the support team, under guidance of the IT Manager.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in IT support, particularly in a customer-facing role, or transferable skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Strong knowledge of Office 365, OneDrive, and SharePoint, or applicable skills that could be adapted.
  • Basic understanding of server technologies such as Active Directory is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Experience supporting laptops, desktops, tablets, and printers.
  • A positive, proactive approach with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently within your skill set and escalate issues when necessary.
  • A clean enhanced DBS check is required for this role.
Responsibilities
  • Provide face-to-face IT support to teachers and school staff, helping them effectively use technology in their daily activities, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and audio-visual equipment.
  • Act as a positive representative of our company, fostering strong relationships within the school community.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Office 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and other common educational technologies.
  • Escalate complex issues to our remote support team while maintaining clear and effective communication with the client.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment within the school, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative environment, always aiming to enhance the user experience.
