JOB DESCRIPTION:
Based in Manchester and reporting to the IT Support Manager, this position is responsible for the 1st and 2nd level technical support to our different sites in the UK but can be engaged to provide virtual support to any of our global offices and employees.
What you will do:
- Provide 1st and 2nd level IT support to users in Manchester and other UK sites (Birmingham, London and Southampton);
- Offer remote support for other global offices (by phone and remote desktop connection);
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues;
- Install, configure, upgrade and maintain desktops, laptops, printers and other network devices;
- Analyze and understand the users’ IT needs and respond to information requests, questions and problems relating to systems;
- Record incidents and requests and their resolution in ticket system;
- Create and manage AD and Exchange accounts;
- Manage phone sets and voice mailboxes;
- Order and configure mobile phones;
- Manage IT equipment pool;
- Keep inventory of all equipment, software and licenses;
- Assist in onboarding new employees;
- Create and update documentation for users and technician;
- Provide assistance to system administrators as needed;
- Provide after hours on-call support as needed;
- Identify and suggest possible improvements;
- Stay on top of new technologies to ensure high efficiency and contribute to the growth of the business.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- College degree in IT;
- 3 years experience in a similar position;
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 Business (AD, Office 365, Teams);
- Experience in analyzing and solving technical problems;
- Hold a driver’s license in order to travel to our various offices;
- Be available evenings and weekends (as needed);
- Ability to establish priorities and sense of organization;
- Strong ability to work with deadlines and manage pressure;
