THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are looking for a proactive and experienced IT Support Technician to join our Technology & Digital team in our Sydney office. You will provide high-quality first and second-level support for all staff nationally across Urbis, as a part of our 7-person National IT Helpdesk.
The role will be supported by our experienced Service Desk Manager, as you proactively improve our colleague experience and help deliver “Simple & Easy” solutions.

You will:

  • Promote the service desk brand though customer-focused support and engagement with staff at all levels of the business.
  • Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the Technology Service Desk.
  • Be front and centre as the `go to’ in the office for supporting the smooth-running of our client experience through our Microsoft Teams rooms and other brand-new technologies across the office.
  • Assist in analysing and resolving hardware and software problems including performing technical assistance and support on all hardware and peripherals.
  • Assist in system upgrades, installing, configuring and testing new systems and hardware.
  • Promote technology literacy and awareness across the business on Urbis Collaboration technology tools (Microsoft Office 365, particularly Teams), including 1:1 coaching as required.
Responsibilities
  • Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
  • Experience working in an Office 365 environment enhancing collaboration and productivity using these tools - experience with 365 admin portals preferred
  • Demonstrated strong technical skills in desktop operating systems, software installation and troubleshooting, mobile device configuration, audio visual technologies (ideal)
  • Relevant experience in an IT support role involving frequent, direct contact with colleagues (Prior experience in a professional services firm is preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience with a variety of IT equipment, predominantly Microsoft applications and server tools, SCCM, Intune, and Laptops.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles
