Job Details Job Location: ATEK Metal Technologies - New Hampton, IA 50659 Position Type: Full Time ATEK Metal Technologies is looking for a full-time IT Support Technician to join our team onsite in New Hampton. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where every day brings something new. If you're ready to build real experience—while supporting the people and systems that keep our plant running—this opportunity is for you! What You’ll Do: Troubleshoot hardware, network, and basic software issues, plus keep computers, printers, scanners, and peripherals up and running Help employees get started—user setup, access, and password resets Assist with LAN and Wi-Fi support across the facility Work with Corporate IT and external partners when issues need escalation Install software updates and maintain IT hardware inventory Work with facility maintenance to run network cabling and install other network infrastructure Support projects that may include light scripting or automation Learn and support low-code platforms like Glide and Make.com Use tools like Visio to update network diagrams and infrastructure layouts What You’ll Bring: An associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) CompTIA A+ certification—or willingness to earn it within 6 months A knack for solving problems and staying calm when technology gets quirky Strong communication skills Basic networking knowledge + Windows and Microsoft Office familiarity Ability to work independently and stay organized Willingness to participate in training and become certified in the operation of forklift, scissor-lift, and boom lifts Bonus points for: IT helpdesk or internship experience Exposure to scripting or programming (Python, PowerShell, etc.) Familiarity with ERP systems or manufacturing environments Basic troubleshooting commands and networking protocols Why You’ll Love Working Here: You won’t just be resetting passwords all day—you’ll be the heartbeat of day-to-day plant tech support, gaining hands-on skills across hardware, networks, systems, and automation.
