  • Management of a team of currently two employees and representation of the management of the Digital Infrastructure staff unit
  • Strategic planning and conceptual measures for the use of ICT in the LAV in coordination with the management of the SDI
  • Administration and further development of the LAV's IT infrastructures, including resource planning and the involvement of the Rhineland-Palatinate Digital Magazine.
  • Collaboration in the conception, implementation, administration and further development of technical solutions for the long-term storage and availability of electronic data in the Digital Magazine Rhineland-Palatinate
  • Support in the conceptualization of transfer processes for non-standardized transfers of digital documents, especially databases, from state administration based on archival standards.

Requirements:

  • a completed university degree in computer science or comparable IT-related fields of study, or equivalent skills and experience acquired through professional activities or additional qualifications.
  • Extensive experience in network management, including in heterogeneous environments
  • Professional experience in IT project management
  • Willingness and ability to learn new tasks
  • Good knowledge and practical experience with server systems such as Windows Servers, Linux
  • Knowledge and practical experience with database systems (currently especially PostgreSQL)
  • very good knowledge of storage architectures (including SAN, NAS)
  • good knowledge of backup management and license management
  • Knowledge and practical experience with common programming and scripting languages, especially Python and PowerShell
  • Ability to think and act conceptually, strategically and practically
  • Leadership experience is desirable.
  • independent, structured work, good communication skills and teamwork
  • cooperative, loyal and honest work ethic
  • Willingness to successfully participate in a security clearance according to the LSÜG (State Security Clearance Act).
