As an IT Supporter in Satair, you will join a team situated in Denmark, Singapore, China, Germany, and the US. We provide IT Support to our colleagues in the business on a 24/7 basis, by following the sun. As we are the first step into IT, guiding colleagues and leading them to our experts is also a discipline we practice. Therefore, this role entails on-call and weekend on-call shifts to provide our colleagues with seamless IT Support around the clock. In addition to the on-call shifts, you will also be a part of a rotating shift schedule, where you will be needed at work from 06:00 to 14:30 and an afternoon shift from 09:00 - 17:30
Within this year we’re planning to move our Warehouse operations to a different location, and as part of this move we need the IT Supporter role to move with it. You are therefore expected to be moving with the warehouse employees to the new warehouse located in Greve.
Your daily tasks will mainly consist of 2 areas (but is not limited to): Resolving IT Incidents and completing Service Requests.
WHAT DO YOU OFFER?
We’re looking for a candidate who likes the IT Support aspect in terms of helping users and making sure that our colleague got what was needed. A skill needed for the job is the ability to park your current task if an urgent issue arises and very importantly, remember to get back to where you left off. Due to the nature of IT Support, a certain part of our work comes with a level of unpredictability.
In our company, the aspect of IT Support spans wide from a technical perspective. General knowledge about IT is therefore a necessity in terms of Microsoft Operating Systems, Active Directory e.g. troubleshooting on DNS, Networking and general application understanding.
Your communication skills are important and that means you can engage in a dialogue with a skilled technician but also a colleague that has less understanding of IT than yourself. This will be needed in verbal and written form. On the written aspect, structure and an eye for detail is a plus.
We strive towards applying the principles of ITIL in our ITSM tool and you therefore need to be aware of the basics of ITIL Foundation.
As a person, your default answer to something unknown should not be ,, I don’t know…’’ but rather ,, I’ll investigate and return!’’. In some cases, patience is required and you will need it.
