JOB DESCRIPTIONJob Overview
This position is part of the core Infrastructure team responsible for managed core platforms. This position will be responsible for configuring, deploying, and maintaining Infrastructure systems leveraged by all teams.
We are looking for an individual that can efficiently maintain the core ecosystem, addressing mission-critical capability gaps. This position will be heavily involved in the maintenance of core platforms , especially storage (SAN & NAS), backup, replication, and virtualization platforms. Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies and supporting large scale environments related to SMB, NFS, Kerberos, Windows application issues is highly desired.

Responsibilities

Maintain support and operational efficiencies for our core platform enterprise solutions.
This team presently owns multiple areas of the environment. Technical expertise with solutions for storage, backups, virtualization, patching, monitoring and auditing systems will be called upon regularly.
Operational maintenance of EMC Isilon in all environments, including creation of shares, snapshots and replication
Familiarity with Superna, including experience failing over Isilon access zones
Responsibility for all datacenter hardware, and associated vendor tickets for support
Day to day management of Systems team to provide comprehensive engineering and maintenance support for enterprise platforms
Responsible for team projects and end users requests leveraging Jira and Jira Service Desk (Incident Management and Service Desk support requests)
Developing and Enforcing IT standards, procedures, policies, and best practices
Security focus to confirm that best practices are followed and remediation where necessary is applied in a timely manner
Diagnose and troubleshoot server related issues in a mixed Windows, Linux and Cloud environment
Review and enhance documentation for troubleshooting and resolution procedures for all levels of support
Provide periodic off-hours on-call support per team rotation.
Occasional evening or weekend work required. Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the service desk system
Qualifications
5+ years’ experience in systems infrastructure operations or related field
3+ years’ experience with the following technologies: VMware (Horizon, ESX, vRops), File Services (NTFS, SMB/NFS on EMC Isilon and Superna), Backup (Rubrik), Zerto, Microsoft Windows
Experience with managing enterprise level storage solutions (NAS, SAN, Fibre Channel, SMB, NFS)
Ability to communicate well within and across teams; foster relationships throughout the organization and build trust amongst peers through demonstrated strong job performance
