JOB SUMMARY

Community Clothing Assistance (CCA) has a job opportunity for an IT System Administrator. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimizing the charity’s technological infrastructure. This role ensures that CCA’s IT systems support daily operations, enhance productivity, and align with the charity’s standard of service, accountability, and sustainability. The IT System Administrator will work closely with staff and volunteers to provide reliable technology solutions that strengthen community impact. This position is open to recent graduates with a Canadian post-secondary education.
The successful candidate will secure a 52-week, skill-building, and on-the-job training position. Community Clothing Assistance is offering this position in partnership with NOHFC (Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation). Hours: Monday - Friday 9 am to 5 pm, 8-hour shift / 40 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field( or experience of 1 to 2 years.
  2. Comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud-based solutions.
  3. Understanding of core programming languages, including SQL, JavaScript, and PHP.
  4. Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows/Linux) and computer networking principles.
  5. Familiarity with a non-profit IT environment is an Asset
  6. Excellent problem-solving , communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities
  1. Install and configure CCA’s operating systems, software, and network to ensure smooth operations in donation tracking, Referral, and client services
  2. Monitor and update systems to keep client and partners data secure and services running.
  3. Creating, managing, and deleting user accounts, assigning permissions, and resetting passwords.
  4. Ensure all systems meet security and privacy standards for handling sensitive client and agency information.
  5. Maintain clear documentation of IT Systems and procedures for troubleshooting and training.
  6. Implementing backup and recovery procedures to protect data from loss, managing security protocols, and responding to security incidents.
  7. Provide technical support to staff and volunteers for hardware, software, and system-related issues.
  8. Integrating automation processes to simplify and streamline tasks.
