We are seeking a highly skilled IT System Administrator to join our global IT operations team. This role combines end-user support with on-site infrastructure management, supporting Surecomp’s environment.. Key Responsibilities End User & IT Support Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and enterprise applications Troubleshoot issues related to Windows/Linux OS, Office 365, network connectivity, VPN, and user access Support identity and access management via Okta (SSO, MFA) Handle user-related security incidents in coordination with SOC On-site Infrastructure & Server Environment Maintain server cabinet / edge infrastructure Support VMware hosts, Juniper switches, and Checkpoint connectivity Perform hardware diagnostics and connectivity validation Virtualization & Systems Administration Support VMware (monitoring, restart, troubleshooting) Administer Windows Server and basic Linux systems Backup & Recovery Monitor backups using Commvault Perform restore tests Support data recovery drills and failover scenarios Endpoint Security Respond to CrowdStrike alerts Execute containment actions and escalate when needed Network Support Troubleshoot VLANs, switching, and firewall connectivity Coordinate changes with global teams Global Operations & ITSM (JIRA) Work in a global follow-the-sun model Manage all work via JIRA tickets Maintain documentation and SLA tracking Participate in weekly global IT meetings Collaborating with global IT teams Security Responsibilities Enforce MFA and Zero Trust principles Ensure audit logging Follow NIST / ISO 27001 best practices Requirements Knowledge and Experience Office 365, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP Windows Server 2012–2025 Windows 11 VMware Networking fundamentals Advantageous technical skills Linux Commvault NetApp / NAS Checkpoint Okta (SSO, MFA) CrowdStrike Skills Excellent communication skills in English and German Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude, and the ability to communicate well in a timely manner with employees at all levels Highly self-motivated and autodidact Attention to details and strong numeracy skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to prioritize tasks effectively Ability to work as part of a team and independently Strong work ethic, Proactive, Self-motivated and Results-driven
