area of responsibility
- Operations & Administration: Management of the Azure cloud infrastructure, including virtual machines, networking, security center, monitoring, management groups, subscriptions, and resource groups.
- Security strategies: Development and implementation of security concepts for the Azure environment, e.g., through Azure Policy and Security Baselines.
- Performance & Cost Optimization: Monitoring and continuous improvement of cloud performance and efficiency
- Hybrid Integration: Support and implementation of hybrid solutions between on-premises environments and Azure
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Setting up and operating backup and recovery solutions in Azure
- Geo-locations & Network Management: Configuration and management of various Azure locations, including peering solutions and Network Watcher Services.
- Error analysis & problem solving: Identification and resolution of cloud and infrastructure problems
- Monitoring & Operations: Responsibility for Azure Monitoring and Log Analytics Workspace (LAW) operations
- Development & Automation: Creation and management of Logic Apps and Function Apps
- Support & Stability: Assistance with general support tasks to ensure smooth cloud operation.
Requirements profile
- Qualifications & Experience: Completed studies or training in the IT field with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience
- Azure expertise: Sound knowledge of Microsoft Azure and related cloud services.
- Windows & Scripting: Very good knowledge of Windows Server and experience with PowerShell
- Cloud security: Experience with cloud security concepts and technologies, e.g., IAM, networking, SIEM
- Certifications (desirable): Ideally Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Network expertise: Experience with firewalls, especially routing and site-to-site VPNs, is advantageous.
- Database knowledge: Experience with PaaS services around Microsoft SQL and their implementation is a plus.
- Analytical thinking: The ability to quickly grasp complex relationships and act in a solution-oriented manner.
- Soft skills: Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills
