Full job description

Work location: A temporary assignment of 12-18 months in Ravensburg is planned for the initial training period, followed by a permanent transfer to the Saarlouis location.

You'll handle IT incidents and service requests in 1st and 2nd level support and ensure sustainable solutions.

As a competent contact person, you'll support our employees via various support channels and guarantee smooth IT operations.

You'll be responsible for the structured documentation of incidents, solutions, and technical information in our ITSM system and knowledge base.

Working closely with internal departments and external service providers, you'll coordinate the handling of complex requests and ensure targeted escalation.

You'll support the operation and further development of the IT infrastructure, focusing on network, server, and virtualization technologies.

You'll accompany infrastructure and rollout projects from preparation to successful technical commissioning.

You'll manage the entire lifecycle of clients and end devices for professional operation in the user environment.

You'll also support the operation of media technology, printing, and video conferencing solutions.

You'll identify optimization potential early on and actively contribute your own ideas to the further development of our IT services.

You'll create and maintain technical documentation, user information, and training materials with the necessary care and quality.

With your successfully completed vocational training as an IT specialist for system integration (m/f/d) or a comparable qualification; professional experience in user support, IT service management, or IT infrastructure operations;

with your proficient use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and current client and workplace technologies;

with your flexibility to quickly switch between the various technical areas and requirements of Vetter employees;

with your technical understanding coupled with analytical thinking and a structured approach to troubleshooting;

with your strong service orientation and enjoyment in providing competent and solution-oriented support to users;

with your strong communication skills and the ability to explain even complex technical concepts clearly;

with your team spirit, initiative, and motivation to actively develop processes and services.

With your excellent written and spoken English skills

and your good German skills (at least B2 level), enabling you to optimally document your work and communicate effectively with everyone on the team.
