IT-Systemadministrator (w/m/d) 

Full-time position (100%) (part-time possible)

Salary up to TV-L E11

Contract duration : permanent (6-month probationary period)

Your tasks

Their field of activity includes in particular:

• Independent virtualization: You will manage, scale, and optimize our Proxmox VE cluster environment.
• Network management: You configure and maintain our switches from FS.com and MikroTik.
• Infrastructure: They provide routing, switching, and VLANs for campus operations.
• Administrative IT: You administer the Windows clients and the Samba-based domain controller.
• Support: They provide support to the administration and teaching operations in case of IT malfunctions and technical questions.
• Conceptual development: You will conceptually develop the network, virtualization, and security architecture of the data center and prepare proposals for the strategic direction of the IT infrastructure.
• IT security: You develop and implement security and data backup concepts (backup/recovery strategy, authorization concepts, securing the network infrastructure) and conduct risk analyses.

Your profile

They bring with them:

• A completed university degree (or equivalent) in computer science or a comparable qualification; alternatively, several years of relevant professional experience with demonstrably equivalent skills that prove independent, conceptual work to the described extent.
• Virtualization: Sound practical knowledge in the administration of Proxmox VE
• Network technology: Safe handling of switches from FS.com and MikroTik
• Operating systems: Good knowledge of Linux as well as experience with Samba domain controllers and Windows clients.
• Working style: Independent, structured and service-oriented in a university environment
