These tasks await you:

• Administration and optimization of database systems in the control center system environment
• Development of architectural and operational concepts for a highly available, redundant and high-performance database infrastructure in the critical infrastructure (KRITIS) environment
• Design and further development of the connection of external systems in collaboration with the interface team, as well as ensuring the consistent processing of real-time, operational and historical data.
• Conceptualization of technical standards and specifications for the database landscape, as well as support in the implementation of security requirements, testing and technical documentation.
• Conceptualization and further development of procedures to ensure the performance, availability and recoverability of database systems, as well as implementation together with colleagues and suppliers.

We are looking for someone with:

• A completed university or technical college degree with a background in information technology, engineering, or natural sciences related to IT
• Experience with highly available and redundant database and system environments
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and experience in the design of high availability, replication, backup and recovery solutions.
• Very good German skills and good English skills, both spoken and written.
• An analytical and structured way of working, as well as the ability to communicate complex technical issues in an understandable way.
• Plus, but not a must:
  • Knowledge of the operation of electrical distribution networks including control center systems
  • Experience with the operation of OT systems and the regulatory requirements in the critical infrastructure (KRITIS) environment
