DESCRIPTION:

Argyle Housing has commenced a significant IT transformation program, including modernisation of our business technology platforms, as well as new ERP and finance systems.
We are seeking a proactive and skilled IT Systems Administrator to join our team. This is a hands-on role requiring expertise across the full technology stack—from Level 1 support tasks through to Level 3 engineering and project work. You will play a key part in maintaining, evolving, and securing our hybrid infrastructure environment.
Provide end-to-end support across infrastructure environments, including networking, servers and end user compute.
Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Intune, Defender).
Manage on-premises and virtualised server environments (Hyper-V and/or VMware).
Support and implement cloud-based solutions (primarily Azure; AWS knowledge beneficial).
Implement and support network infrastructure (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs).
Assist with physical and logical network design, architecture documentation, and capacity planning.
Contribute to cyber security posture through patching, system hardening, monitoring, and incident response support.
Participate in infrastructure upgrade, cloud design and migration, and transformation projects.
Provide Level 1–3 support depending on operational needs, with a willingness to pitch in and support people and technology at all levels
Degree or Diploma in Information Technology from a recognised University or TAFE
3 + years in IT, ideally across SMB or enterprise environments.
Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration and deployment.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, and virtualisation technologies (Hyper-V or VMware).
Proficiency in Azure services (IaaS, Azure AD, identity and access management, backups, networking).
Solid understanding of network fundamentals—including architecture, physical and logical design, segmentation, and security principles.
General knowledge of cybersecurity practices (endpoint protection, firewall rules, least privilege, audit logging).
Strong experience in both Android and Apple device management
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across varying technical levels.
Strong documentation and communication skills.
