IT Systems Administrator- (Utica, NY)

We are currently seeking an IT Systems Administrator to play a key role with the management and organization of our IT department. The ideal candidate will have a good combination of people skills and system administrator skills.
Location: We are recruiting for this role to be onsite in our Utica, NY office. This position will be required to travel between our other offices.
Requirements:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Provide professional and timely troubleshooting support to approx. 70 end users (local & remote). Due to the smaller size of our Firm, the person in this role will be required to be hands on with working on Help Desk tickets, along with managing any other IT staff who also assists on Help Desk.
• Provide support, installation, and updates for various hardware (desktops, laptops, printers, Avaya IP telephone system, etc.) and various accounting software (on server and cloud based).
• Working knowledge of PC hardware and software functionality including Microsoft Office and data manipulation in Word and Excel documents.
• Must be able to support network operations and monitor, maintain, update and troubleshoot the virtual server environment.
• Manage and support other critical IT facets such as anti-virus, firewall, backups, Disaster Recovery Plan, security systems, fax, postage meters, copiers/printers, wi-fi network/wiring in offices, etc.
• Laptop and desktop builds as needed.
• Manage onboarding procedures, new staff orientation, assist with any IT training for staff (security, new hardware, software etc.).
• Maintain inventory of assets and maintain tidiness of the server room.
• Responsible for project management, developing/maintaining an IT budget, and adding technological value to the Firm as directed by the IT Committee and owners of the Firm.
• Manage and oversee any IT staff. Provide guidance, training, and support to the team.
• Must be able to work with and maintain relationships with outside IT consultant and vendors of the Firm.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field. Comparable certifications or experience will be considered.
• 3 + years of related experience with systems and network administration.
• Experience with maintaining a Citrix server preferred.
• Experience with Help Desk duties including troubleshooting hardware and software applications, operating system configurations, network configurations etc. Must be able to troubleshoot efficiently and accurately in person or remotely.
• Exposure to Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Terminal Servers, and IP Phone Systems.
• Networking, printers, scanners, monitors, and Smart Phone knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, be organized and prioritize Help Desk issues.
• Experience with an accounting firm or similar professional environment is a plus.
• Strong oral, interpersonal and written communication skills a must.
• Must be able to pass background, employment verification and reference check.
• Valid driver’s license is required for frequent same day travel between offices using a personal vehicle. Mileage reimbursement will be paid.
• Must have the ability to work flexible hours as needed, especially during busy tax season. Otherwise, normal on-site working hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  Salary is based on several factors including, but not limited to, the combination of an individual’s education, knowledge, skills, and years of experience. The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. We offer excellent benefits which include PTO, paid holidays, health insurance, 401(k) plan, travel reimbursement for mileage between the offices and professional development.
