EQUIPMENTSHARE IS HIRING A IT SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR

EquipmentShare is searching for a IT Systems Administrator for our corporate office in Columbia, MO, to support our team as the department continues to grow.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Ability to learn new technologies and transfer knowledge to the team and customer.
  • Experience supporting Windows, MacOS, iOS, and iPadOS applications.
  • Experience working in a Windows server environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based backup and recovery solutions.
  • Experience with cloud automation tools (e.g., Azure Automation, PowerShell scripts).
  • Proficient in implementing and managing cloud security and compliance measures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in IT system administration with a significant focus on Microsoft Azure.
  • Certifications in Microsoft system administration are highly desirable.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and work on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
Responsibilities
  • Monitor system performance, availability, and security, ensuring uptime and policy compliance.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various platforms.
  • Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and data integrity checks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols, including antivirus and intrusion detection.
  • Manage cloud-based services, virtualization, and remote access solutions.
  • Administer and optimize Microsoft, including, but not limited to, Azure resources, virtual machines, identity and access management, devices, and application services.
  • Support and lead server-related projects, including upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements.
  • Document system configurations, processes, and technical procedures.
  • Assist in IT infrastructure upgrades, patches, and updates.
  • Provide technical support to employees and train users on IT best practices.
  • Interact with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
  • Stay abreast of new features and technologies related to supported systems, evaluating their applicability to our business needs. Work with the IT Systems Engineers to recommend and implement improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
