Job Title: Systems Administrator II

Systems Administrator II: This technical position will primarily be responsible for managing larger clients who often have multi-office network environments. In this fast-paced environment, you will be performing systems and network administration on a day-to-day basis as well as troubleshooting client escalations. Competence in the following areas is required: servers, workstations, network infrastructure, data storage, cloud services, and network applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Windows server and cybersecurity services. Additionally, a basic understanding of a range of software applications (Sage, Quickbooks, SAP, etc.) is needed. Work will be performed remotely at our main office as well as onsite at client locations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 5 years of System Administrator experience with demonstrated understanding of how to trouble shoot and resolve a variety of IT support needs.
  • Exceptional Customer Service: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - including strong phone skills - are essential for effectively interacting with users, understanding their needs, and providing assistance in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Critical Thinker: Effectively combine active listening with IT knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
  • Persistent: Ability to grapple with larger IT issues and remain steadfast when working towards the resolution.
  • Independent: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload effectively without daily direction.
  • Meticulous: Detailed and thorough in executing daily tasks to ensure accuracy and quality in deliverables.
  • Strong Writing: Ability to document all situations and applications clearly, concisely and coherently.
  • Degree: Bachelors degree or equivalent experience/certifications

    Salary Range - $75,000 - $90,000
Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain client computer and network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.
  • Independently manage projects for a variety of clients
  • Answer customer calls and provide support to help resolve technical issues in addition to being a resource for client escalations.
  • Review systems and key indicators on daily basis.
  • Assist users via various channels such as in-person, phone, email, or chat, ensuring excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Proactively monitor, document, and report administration activities and network operating environment information.
  • Extend knowledge of IT networking skills (firewalls, switches, wireless access points) as well as client backups and business continuity verifications.
  • Identify opportunities to further assist clients and succeed in their environments.
  • Support with client hardware replacements and migrations and assist with larger projects, conversions and core application upgrades.
  • Facilitate status meetings with client and account team.
  • There may be an opportunity to mentor junior level team members
