Description
Rick Case Automotive has an opening for a IT Systems Administrator! The successful candidate who fills this positions will maintain computing environment by identifying system requirements; installing upgrades; monitoring system performance, and supporting end users. Job Summary: Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, systems and key processes, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups. Perform daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary. Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request. Investigate and troubleshoot End User issues, by maintaining the help desk ticketing system. * Maintain the operation of the dealership-wide computer system and related peripherals. * Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential. * Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. * Maintains the dealership network environment, directories, and security. * Maintains backup of all files, security, and rights. * Applies knowledge in the maintenance and operation of computer hardware, operating systems, and related software applications. * Trains others in computer usage. * Ensure effective utilization of dealership systems by studying user requirements. * Assist with purchase of all computer hardware, software, and peripheral equipment. * Coordinates equipment installation and maintenance activities with appropriate department managers to avoid disruption in communications and ensures efficiency of operations. * Assist department heads with setting up and fully utilizing management information systems. Skills/Qualifications: * System Administration, LAN Knowledge, Training, Multi-tasking, On-Call, Basic Networking Knowledge, Microsoft Operating Systems: XP, WIN 7, 2003 & 2008 Server; * CDK knowledge a plus * Knowledge of software programs, computer programming and networks. * Excellent communication skills. * Basic math skills required. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
