IT Systems Administrator Summary We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist responsible for the development, operational management, and maintenance of our core IT infrastructure. This role supports all infrastructure-related systems including servers, networks, telecommunications, cloud platforms, and end-user devices. The successful candidate will play a key role in implementing new systems, upgrading existing platforms, managing projects, resolving escalated technical issues, and maintaining enterprise-level security standards. You will be expected to stay current with emerging technologies and confidently articulate the business value of IT solutions across the organisation. Key Responsibilities Plan, manage and successfully deliver IT projects, policies, processes and technical initiatives Install, configure and maintain enterprise network systems, hardware, software and peripherals Provide technical leadership and manage third-party vendors and suppliers where required Recommend and implement technology improvements and business process enhancements Maintain Data Centre and Microsoft Azure cloud operations, ensuring maximum uptime and performance Perform network and systems administration tasks Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently Respond to helpdesk tickets, calls and user requests, ensuring timely resolution and escalation where necessary Provide advanced support to IT team members and assist with tactical problem resolution Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer within the IT team Communicate technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Maintain network security, data integrity and file system security processes Develop and maintain accurate documentation for systems, networks and procedures Collaborate with colleagues to identify infrastructure and process improvements Manage IT asset inventory including hardware, software and peripherals Prepare and deploy computer systems, including user consultation and configuration Travel between company sites as required Participate in out-of-hours and weekend support when necessary Requirements The successful candidate will demonstrate: Professional conduct, reliability and a strong work ethic Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation Strong analytical and advanced problem-solving skills Excellent organisational and multitasking ability High attention to detail Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies Technical Skills & Experience Extensive knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft 365 suite Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services Strong understanding of networking standards, protocols, security, and performance tuning Experience with virtualisation technologies such as VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V Solid understanding of enterprise security principles 🌍 Why Join WASL?
