POSITION SUMMARY:
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation is accepting applications to fill an IT System Analyst position. The KBI is an assisting law enforcement agency that supports the Kansas Criminal Justice Information Systems and all law enforcement agencies in the state of Kansas. Our IT environment exposes technicians to a variety of exciting enterprise systems, lab equipment and specialty devices. Working for the KBI provides a great sense of pride and accomplishment.
The primary responsibility of this position is to install and maintain critical KBI IT infrastructure. Work involves supporting servers, storage and hardware, system software, and peripherals. Additionally includes troubleshooting local area (LAN) or wide area (WAN) networks along with PC support when needed. Exceptional customer service and communication skills are needed alongside strong team oriented focus but with the ability to work independently.
Experience with numerous computers in multiple domains in a professional business environment recommended.
Applicants are expected to have a passion for learning and a drive for success. Troubleshooting skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues are highly preferred. The KBI Technology Support team is demanding at times and always rewarding. We look forward to meeting you.
EDUCATION
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
One to four years configuring, installing and troubleshooting of operating systems, software, and hardware and connecting peripherals. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
