Key Responsibilities: Server and Virtualization Administration Network Maintenance and Support Backup and Recovery Management End-User Support (Workstations and Applications) Reports to: Manager of IT Location: Eden Prairie, MN office Starting Salary Information: $100,000+ Key Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities This role has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Server and Virtualization Administration Maintain and support physical and virtual server environments Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; implement measures to proactively address issues before they impact operations Perform routine maintenance including patching, updates, and system health checks Support server life-cycle, including provisioning, decommissioning, and documentation of configurations Backup and Disaster Recovery Manage and monitor backup systems to ensure successful and reliable data protection Respond to and resolve backup failures in a timely manner Contribute to disaster recovery planning and execution Perform routine backup verification and periodic recovery testing Execute recovery procedures as necessary Network Maintenance and Monitoring Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot established network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points With vendor support, implement network upgrades and updates as needed Diagnose and resolve network connectivity issues across office and production environments Collaborate with external vendors or internal teams on escalated network issues Assist in maintaining network documentation and diagrams End User, Workstation, and Application Support Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems Respond to help desk requests and ensure timely resolution of issues Assist users with network access, account creation, and password resets Provide day-to-day support for desktops, laptops, and standard business applications Troubleshoot hardware, software, and access issues for office and production users Support user onboarding/offboarding, including account setup and permissions Maintain a high level of responsiveness and communication with end users Additional responsibilities for this role Infrastructure Planning and Optimization Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions Collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to plan and implement upgrades and expansions throughout the environment Vendor Management Liaise with vendors and service providers for procurement, maintenance, and support of network equipment and services. Manage vendor relationships and contracts.
