Description

About The Company

Atmos Renewables is a leading Australian renewable energy company with ownership in over 1.9GW of operating and in-construction wind, solar and energy storage assets and a number of development projects across Australia.

Established in 2020 by Igneo Infrastructure Partners, Atmos is dedicated to accelerating Australia’s clean energy transition through the development, construction, and operation of renewable generation and storage projects.

With a growing pipeline of projects, including onshore wind, solar, and battery storage, Atmos is committed to being the partner of choice for communities, landowners, and energy buyers. As a dynamic and lean organisation, Atmos Renewables seek professionals who align with their company values and thrive in a collaborative, team-driven setting.

About The Role An exiting opportunity for an IT Systems Engineer to join the Atmos Renewables team and play a key role in supporting and evolving our corporate IT setting. This role is central to ensuring our people have the tools, systems and support they need to operate effectively as we continue to grow.

Reporting to the IT/OT Manager, the IT Systems Engineer will be the primary point of contact for the administration of our Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, corporate devices, network infrastructure, and SharePoint platform while also providing end user support across the business.

This is a broad, hands-on role requiring strong technical capability across cloud, networking, and endpoint management, combined with a service-oriented mindset. The role is well suited to a senior technologist who is comfortable operating as a generalist across a wide technology stack, taking ownership of outcomes across both strategic and hands-on responsibilities in a lean, high-performing team. The position is based in our Sydney office, with a regular monthly visit to the Melbourne office and periodic travel to Atmos’ renewable energy sites across regional Australia to support operational technology (OT) environments.

Key Responsibilities

Azure Administration & Infrastructure

- Administer the Atmos Azure environment including identity management via Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), resource groups, subscriptions and access policies.

- Manage Azure networking infrastructure including Virtual Networks (VNets), VNet peering, Virtual WAN (vWAN) hubs, and associated routing and security configurations.

- Deploy, manage and monitor Azure Virtual Machines, ensuring patching, performance and cost efficiency.

- Administer Azure Arc for hybrid infrastructure management, extending Azure management and governance to on-premises and edge resources.

- Support the deployment and management of other Azure-hosted services used across the business, including storage, backups and platform services.

- Monitor Azure cost and usage, identify optimisation opportunities, and report to the IT/OT Manager on consumption trends.

  • - Implement and maintain Azure security best practices in alignment with the Atmos cybersecurity framework.
