SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Systems Specialist is responsible for overseeing enterprise IT service management and service delivery practices, leading cybersecurity, and functioning as IT’s senior staff member—ensuring coordinated planning, budgeting, and execution across all technology functions. The IT System Specialist will provide a strong focus on Microsoft technologies ensuring the smooth operation, security, and maintenance of our IT systems, with an emphasis on Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, InTune, and resources in Microsoft Azure. Additionally, the IT System Specialist will provide support for business processes through designing basic solutions using the systems and tools in house. As a key member of our team, the IT System Specialist will also serve as Tier 4 support for escalated issues from our managed services provider and assist in the administration of various business platforms, including ERP, Payroll, and EMR systems.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
  • Knowledge of ERP, Payroll, and EMR systems administration is a plus.
  • At least one Microsoft certification in both Azure administration and Microsoft Security administration is preferred (i.e. AZ-104 or AZ-900; SC-200 or SC-400).

OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities, tasks, and environments.
  • Proven experience in administering Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, InTune, and Azure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power platforms (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI) and their application in workflow solutions.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Responsibilities

MISCELLANEOUS RESPONSIBILITIES AND COMPLIANCE

  • Assists in developing or revising policies and procedures as requested.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of IT systems, configurations, and procedures for reference and knowledge sharing.
    Supervisory responsibilities: This position does not involve any direct supervisory responsibilities.
    Budgetary/Fiscal Responsibility: Responsible for using resources wisely to support cost-effective operations.
    Compliance Responsibility: As an essential function, this position is responsible for complying with the Compliance Program as it applies to the individual job duties, the department, and the company. This position will exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates, and/or agents.
    Policy and Procedure Interpretation and Development: Responsible for complying with all company and clinical policies and procedures. Participates in audit process as requested to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Maintains confidentiality of privileged information and supports the employee’s and patient’s right to privacy.
