Description Miami Children's Museum is looking for a hands-on IT & Systems Technician who thrives on solving problems, supporting users, and keeping critical systems running seamlessly. You’ll be the go-to for day-to-day IT support, partnering with staff and external IT providers (MSP) to ensure everything, from laptops to network infrastructure, runs efficiently and securely. If you’re proactive, solutions-driven, and comfortable juggling priorities in a dynamic setting, this is your moment! What You'll Do Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support needs, providing timely and effective solutions to staff Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, printers, phones, software, and network connectivity Support and maintain LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and cloud-based systems; escalate complex issues to external IT partners (MSP) as needed Manage user accounts, system access, onboarding, and offboarding across multiple platforms Assist with administration and support of internal systems, including CRM and communication tools Maintain and support end-user devices and on-site IT equipment, including network hardware and phone systems Partner with external vendors and IT providers to troubleshoot issues, coordinate upgrades, and implement solutions Support cybersecurity practices, including patching, endpoint protection, and access controls Assist with backups, disaster recovery processes, and maintaining accurate IT documentation Provide basic training and guidance to staff to improve overall technology use and efficiency Requirements Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on IT support experience in a fast-paced, operational environment Relevant certifications preferred (CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, Google Cloud Professional, Microsoft Certifications, etc.) Ability to work with minimal direct supervision and prioritize daily work for maximum institution effectiveness. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Schedule may include weekends based on operational needs; flexibility for occasional evenings and after-hours support is expected.
