MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· Advanced certificate or Diploma in Information Technology.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE:

· Minimum of 5 years’ experience working on a Linux-based network.
· Minimum of 5 years working in a fast-paced, technical environment.
· Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a small team.
· Advanced knowledge of:
o IPv4 networks, routing, firewalls, VoIP, File Share protocols
o Database systems (e.g. PostgreSQL)
o Task management tools (e.g. Jira)
o Version control (e.g. Git)
o Virtualisation (e.g. Hyper-V, ProxmoxVE)
o DMS & Knowledge management (e.g. Sharepoint, Wiki)
o Scripting: Bash, Powershell, Python

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Team Lead is responsible for systems administration, servers, liaising and working with external service providers and networks, ownership of Internal IT. This position is based at Head Office in Somerset West, reporting into the Chief Technology Officer.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

· Goals and Objectives, mentoring, guidance and performance evaluation.
· Ensure efficient workflows are in place and followed.
· Ensuring all tasks are completed to the required standards.
· Planning for Stone Three’s internal IT needs and infrastructure.
· Advising systems administrators on the implementation and maintenance of all networks and IT Systems.
· Take full accountability for company backups, disaster recovery planning & execution.
· Take full accountability for internal systems uptime.
· Liaising with CTO and business unit managers to select optimal technologies to solve clients’ requirements.
· Assisting with IT budget as required.
· Ensuring all IT Policies and security standards are adhered to.
