AdvanTec Marine is looking for a couple experienced and energetic IT Technician to join our IT department in Chilliwack, BC.
EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Some formal education in IT or equivalent work experience and education.
- At least 2 years of end-user technical support and troubleshooting experience
- Entry-level knowledge of VMware, Active Directory, Windows 10/11, Office 0365 as well as Office Apps including Adobe Acrobat.
- Strong English skills.
- Working knowledge of troubleshooting network printers.
- Experience working with a help desk ticketing system.
- Working Knowledge on how to image and set up a workstation for an end user.
- Basic cybersecurity awareness.
- Demonstrate exceptional technical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting ability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially in assisting and supporting people with varying degrees of technical knowledge.
- Treat end-users like customers, always polite and helpful.
- Innate desire to continually learn and improve.

Responsibilities:
- Provide IT technical expertise and support to both on-premise and remote end-users.
- Assist the IT Administrators with various technology-related initiatives, deployments, upgrades and repairs.
- Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and software licenses.
- Keep current on the trends, issues, and current technologies in the IT industry.
- Work in accordance with documented procedures and complete all applicable records
