POSITION SUMMARY

An IT Tech I provides technical support for both staff, students, and student families in the Fresno Ca area. (Must live in the Fresno, CA area) The IT Tech I position is also responsible to manage technical projects to improve efficiencies and develop and implement technical solutions. The IT Tech I provides direct technical support via email, chat, phone, and in-person. IT staff should be knowledgeable about common computer software, hardware, networking setups in small businesses and home installations. A candidate should be able to troubleshoot common issues with hardware and software. An IT Tech I should be able to research and learn about issues that they are unfamiliar with. IT staff should be able to be self-directed managing many daily tasks. An IT Tech I should have good communication skills to support users, cooperate with other IT staff, and work with management. Experience with or a desire to learn data analysis, scripting, or programming is a plus.
Although occasional remote may be permitted with management approval, the expectation is that this position will be in-office 40 hours per week.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Proficiency using and troubleshooting Windows 10, ChromeOS, and iOS
  • Understanding of computer networking, for instance IP addresses, DHCP, DNS, Wi-Fi, and network equipment.
  • Experience troubleshooting network issues with Wi-Fi or network printers.
  • Familiarity and experience with:
  • Google Workspace, like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets.
  • Microsoft office: Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Associates degree or tech certifications preferred.
  • Experience with data analysis, scripting, or programming is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Self-directed management of email, chat, phone calls/messages, and helpdesk tickets.
  • Troubleshoot and service common computer, network, and printer issues for staff and students.
  • Provide in-person technical support for office staff.
  • Provide a high-level of customer service to staff and students.
  • Assign devices to users and maintain inventory of tech assets.
  • Track equipment orders, returns, and RMA’s.
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve technical issues and to design and implement tech solutions.
  • Other duties as assigned.
