POSITION OVERVIEW:

The IT Technician Entry Level will report directly to the Lead IT Technician to support day-to-day IT operations at our satellite teleport facility. This role is ideal for someone starting their IT career with a strong interest in networking, systems support, and hands-on troubleshooting in a mission-critical environment. The technician will assist in maintaining the site’s IT infrastructure, including desktops, servers, and network hardware, ensuring continuous support for teleport operations.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work around RF equipment.
• Requires occasional evening/weekend support depending on operational needs.

• Provide first-level support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, and other peripheral devices.
• Assist with the setup, monitoring, and maintenance of LAN/WAN infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and escalate when necessary.
• Support basic server maintenance tasks (Windows/Linux environments).
• Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, procedures, and IT assets.
• Assist teleport engineering staff with IT-related integration of RF/telecom systems.
• Respond to IT support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow all security, safety, and operational protocols.
