Level 2 Technician – Onsite, Long-Term Contract Shift differential for nights Location: Mt. Pleasant, WI Location: Mt. Pleasant, WI Schedule: All shifts available (A/B Days & Nights) on a 3x4x12 rotation A Side Days: Sunday–Tuesday & every other Wednesday, 6 AM–6 PM A Side Nights: Same days, 6 PM–6 AM B Side Days: Thursday–Saturday & every other Wednesday, 6 AM–6 PM B Side Nights: Same days, 6 PM–6 AM Job Brief We are seeking a skilled Level 2 Data Center Technician for a long-term onsite role. This position involves supporting data center operations, troubleshooting hardware issues, performing server installations, and ensuring continuous network availability. Candidates should have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, server deployment, cabling standards, and GPU installation. Responsibilities Perform Level 1 tasks as needed: Move, inspect, and install servers and switches. Cable devices according to provided wire maps and standards. Install additional components (NIC, drives, memory). Audit servers and consumables. Troubleshoot server issues and isolate problems. Order and replace defective parts; return faulty components to vendors. Update server firmware and configure IP addresses. Assist network admins with cabling, optics replacement, and hardware upgrades. Rack and stack servers or switches for remote configuration. Deploy and configure GPUs in servers. Perform break-fix tasks and component replacements. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Basic knowledge of computer hardware and servers. Familiarity with standard office applications. Ability to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays. Physical ability to lift up to 35 lbs, climb ladders, and wear PPE. Preferred Skills & Certifications CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT (or equivalent experience). CCNA Experience with Windows OS, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash). Structured cabling, rack & stack, fiber/copper termination. Familiarity with ITIL framework and ticketing systems. Understanding of network fundamentals (OSI Layers 1–3). Focus: GPU cluster deployments within Mt. Pleasant facilities. Experience Level: Entry Level to Mid-Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Mount Pleasant, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $28.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
