OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled IT Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong understanding of computer management, networking, and customer service to effectively assist users with their IT needs. The IT Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting hardware and software issues across various operating systems.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in providing technical support in an IT environment.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking concepts including LAN configurations.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications and desktop support tools.
  • Experience with Android and iOS systems.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
  • IT specific certifications are an asset (ITIL, CSSP, A+, Security+, Network+, Microsoft related certification, M365 Fundamentals, etc.)
  • A solid understanding of IT infrastructure components including hardware management and network security protocols.
  • Available to work evenings/weekends.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle

Responsibilities
  • Diagnosing and resolving IT issues (Hardware, Software, Peripheral, Network, etc.)
  • Performing necessary maintenance, monitoring, and repair of hardware such as laptops, desktops, printers, cell phones, RF, etc.
  • Assist with the full hardware, application and asset management lifecycle (procurement, deployment, maintenance, tracking, documenting, retirement, etc.).
  • Directly support the company’s ERP, identifying, escalating and/or triaging to expedite the resolution of issues experienced by end users
  • Effectively communicate electronically and in person with users needing technical support
  • Active participation in the researching of best practices to maintain profitability, fulfill requirements and gain the best value from our IT systems
  • Assist in developing and implementing plans to protect the company’s computer systems from viruses, spyware, software piracy, and unauthorized access and usage
  • Assist with account setup and password changes, following up on reported problems and helping users with how to use the system
  • Other duties related to special assignments or projects as required
