POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused IT Technician to join our IT Services team. The successful candidate will provide technical support, perform installations, maintain IT systems, and assist in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues for both internal teams and clients. This role requires a commitment to service quality, security compliance, and timely problem resolution.

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Diploma or certificate in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent certifications preferred.
  • Microsoft, Cisco, or other vendor certifications an asset.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 1–3 years of hands-on IT support experience in a help desk or technical role.
  • Experience with Windows and macOS environments, Microsoft 365, and networking equipment.

SKILLS:

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Eligible for and able to maintain Controlled Goods Program clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide remote and onsite technical support to internal and client users.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and networking issues.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade systems, peripherals, and network devices.
  • Maintain and monitor IT systems, backups, and security protocols.
  • Implement and support cybersecurity best practices.
  • Document service tickets, actions taken, and resolutions in the Company ticketing system.
  • Maintain inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent service requests.
  • Comply with Controlled Goods Program (CGP) security requirements.
