The Industrial Laboratories Company, Inc. is a busy and growing analytical testing laboratory located in Denver, CO. Industrial Laboratories services a wide spectrum of industries with an emphasis on drug testing services for racehorses, sled dogs, livestock.

JOB SUMMARY

The IT Technician ensures Information Technology (IT) services at Industrial Laboratories remain operational and accessible during off-hours and weekends. Serves as the primary point of contact for after-hours technical support, responding to incidents, and resolving issues that affect business continuity. Works closely with other IT staff to ensure smooth handoff between shifts and ongoing operational stability.

COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or proven equivalent work experience in IT.
Qualifications: Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, performing system monitoring, and resolving IT incidents independently. Familiarity with both physical and virtualized environments.

Technical Knowledge:

• Computer operating systems (Windows/macOS)
• Network connectivity, VPN, and remote desktop support
• Backup/recovery systems and log review
• Monitoring tools and endpoint security software
• Hardware setup, diagnostics, and support

Skills:

• Self-directed and capable of independent problem solving
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Detail oriented and security conscious
• Able to maintain confidentiality of company systems and data

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Denver, CO 8022

• Serve as the first responder for IT issues during evenings, nights and weekends
• Provide end-user support for hardware, software, printers, phones and network access
• Monitor systems and escalate critical alerts to appropriate on-call staff
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and scheduled updates during low-usage hours
• Document incident reports and resolutions for team review
• Maintain high availability via phone/email during assigned shifts
• Ensure clean handoff to day shift team with proper documentation
