Description About the Engagement We are seeking a reliable and technically skilled IT Field Technician for a short-term contract covering approximately 50 client sites across the San Francisco Peninsula. Each site will take 2-8 hours of documentation. This is a project-based role with the potential for ongoing work. What You'll Be Doing Travel to client sites throughout the SF Peninsula to deploy and configure our Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) agent/toolset Validate successful installation and connectivity back to our management platform Document the on-site environment, including hardware inventory, network topology basics, and any notable infrastructure observations Communicate findings clearly via our provided documentation templates Act as a professional representative of our company while on-site with clients Requirements What We're Looking For 2+ years of hands-on IT support or field technician experience Comfort working independently at client sites with minimal supervision Familiarity with RMM platforms (e.g., NinjaRMM, ConnectWise RMM, Datto RMM, Syncro, etc.) — training on our specific toolset will be provided Basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls) Strong attention to detail for documentation tasks Reliable transportation and valid driver's license (mileage reimbursement available — specify if applicable) Professional demeanor and strong communication skills Ability to pass a background check Nice to Have CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications Prior MSP experience Experience with network documentation tools (e.g., IT Glue, Hudu, Auvik) Logistics Independent Contractor (1099) Flexible scheduling, coordinated in advance with each client Estimated project duration: [2 - 4 weeks] Work is conducted on-site across the San Francisco Peninsula Financial bonuses are available for work that exceeds timeline expectations and meets established quality standards.
