Description ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: A. Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of information. B. installation and maintenance of: wired and wireless network structures, desktop computers and peripherals, electronic server and services, interfaces, database systems, and secure connections to and from this organization. C. Establishes and monitors security systems to insure the integrity, confidentiality and appropriate use of information. D. Analyzes information management needs of the organization; evaluates and recommends hardware, software, etc. to meet those needs. E. Provides support to all personnel in the use of information technology and applications of the information system. F. Is responsible for telecommunication functions including the telephone system, videoconferencing, e-mail, etc. G. Knowledge of computer system equipment: Unix, CPSI, Linux and Phone System. OTHER SIGNIFICANT REQUIREMENTS: A. Maintains confidentiality while working with confidential matters on a daily basis. B. Follows safety and infection control guidelines and policies for the Hospital District. C. Assists with general I.T. departmental goals and directives. D. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements § Education: Associate or bachelor degree in computer science or related field preferred. Extensive knowledge of computer technology and management of information systems, such as CPSI, is strongly preferred. § Personal Job-Related Skills: Strong technical hardware skills and extensive knowledge of software applications are required, as well as strong interpersonal communication. Adult education skills are desirable. § Licensure, Registry or Certification: None required. § Experience: v Prior Work Experience: Strong background in information technology required. v Technical Training: Formal training preferred. Physical and Mental Requirements: Duties of the position require intermittent walking, sitting, and standing. Some bending, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. The ability to comprehend and follow routine written or verbal instructions or directions. Ability to safely work with sensitive electronic equipment.
Responsibilities
