Who We Are: Ktunaxa Kinbasket Child & Family Services (KKCFSS) is a non-profit Child, Youth and Family Delegated Indigenous Agency governed by a Board of Directors represented by ʔakisqnuk, ʔaqam, yaqan nuʔkiy (Lower Kootenay Band), yaqit ʔa·knuqⱡiʾit (Tobacco Plains Band), Shuswap Band and the Metis Nation BC. KKCFSS programs and services are available to Ktunaxa citizens, First Nations, Métis and Inuit living on and off-reserve in Ktunaxa ʔamakʔis (Traditional Territory).

As the IT Technician – Systems Specialist, you’ll ensure our staff have the right tools, secure systems and responsive support so they can focus on serving children, youth, and families.

Responsibilities

IN THE ROLE OF PAYROLL CLERK, YOU WILL:

· Provide frontline IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
· Install, configure and maintain computers, printers and other office equipment.
· Set up new user accounts, manage permissions and maintain system security.
· Monitor and maintain network infrastructure including servers, firewalls and Wi-Fi.
· Deploy software updates, upgrades and security patches.
· Support cybersecurity initiatives and deliver staff training on IT security best practices.
· Maintain IT asset inventory and track software licenses.
· Manage and deploy agency mobile devices and contracts.
· Provide user training on systems and applications.
· Assist with IT procurement and coordinate with vendors.
· Support both on-site and remote staff to ensure consistent service delivery.
· Document IT procedures and create troubleshooting guides.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

· Diploma or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (CompTIA A+ and Network+ preferred).
· Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT support or system administration (preferred).
· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
· Proficiency in Windows, MacOS, and Microsoft 365.
· Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPNs, firewalls, IP configurations).
· Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
· Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
· Excellent organizational skills with the ability to juggle priorities.
· Commitment to confidentiality and data security.
· Knowledge and respect for Ktunaxa Nation culture, language and traditions.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
