Required Knowledge and Experience: The Network Security IT Technologist is a member of the Network Security product team within Global IT Connectivity and Data Centers and is critical for securing the Medtronic computing environment and preventing security-related issues. person is responsible for the implementation of Global Security Office policies in Firewall and IPS platforms. This They will work with Medtronic employees, customers, Global Security, approved vendors, and Connectivity team members to design and implement security policy around infrastructure and applications. They will be using business analysis skills to capture requirements along with technical skills to build the solution. Nice to have experience in automating firewall rules or network configuration in Ansible or Terraform Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned: This role will be responsible for the following key processes and activities: Firewall rule implementation for customer requests for applications and infrastructure hosted on-prem, Hybrid Cloud and Cloud Firewall and IPS infrastructure platform design, planning, installation, monitoring, testing, technical analysis and support Experience with Checkpoint Firewalls Operational support including participation in an on-call rotation Maintain standard operation procedures Typically provides guidance, coaching and training to others Physical Job Requirements The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees assigned to this position, but they are not an exhaustive list of all the required responsibilities and skills of this position.
