ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting to the Manager of IT Testing, eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking a seasoned IT Software Testing professional with background in automation testing to lead, participate, and continuously improve the way we do testing for patient-focused applications integrated with provincial healthcare systems at eHealth.
In this role, you’ll develop a deep understanding of our products and services, create tailored testing plans and strategies using risk-based methodologies, and work independently and in a team environment to meet project goals. You’ll collaborate closely with senior Test Analysts, Automation Specialists, Business Analysts, Project Managers, Change Management team, and other IT and business teams to plan and estimate testing activities, define performance metrics, automate tests, and lead continuous improvement and AI integrations across our testing processes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying process gaps, shaping testing roadmaps, and ensuring quality across a range of applications. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in IT functional, non-functional, and automation testing—preferably within healthcare or a similar industry—and thrives in dynamic, fast-paced environments. Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, navigate through business ambiguities, and deliver results under tight timelines managing the associated risks are essential for success in this role.

TYPICAL DAILY DUTIES:

  • Conduct IT functional and non-functional testing to ensure system reliability and performance.
  • Utilize testing tools such as LoadRunner, UFT, ALM, and eHealth-developed internal testing tools to execute and manage test cases.
  • Develop new automation and maintain VB and Selenium scripts to support automated testing efforts. Knowledge of Python will be a plus.
  • Leverage Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint at a minimum) to document and present testing outcomes effectively.
  • Deliver high-quality outputs and maintain a consistent standard of excellence in all testing services.
  • Perform hands-on automation and API testing to validate software functionality and integration.
  • Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, prioritize tasks efficiently, mitigate risks, and maintain a proactive, high-energy approach on the face of ambiguity and constant change.
  • Identify process gaps, propose and lead continuous improvement activities, and adopt and adapt new process baselines.
  • Learn, test, apply, and provide technical leadership to AI-enablement of testing activities.
