Description

We’re looking for an IT Tester to join our team. You’ll be responsible for the testing of software, documentation and reporting of bugs within physical software assets to ensure we have delivered ‘Fit for Purpose’ software to the appropriate users.
Provide expertise in all aspects of IT testing with the ability to align testing processes with business requirements to support overall organisational goals.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Work as a tester within the IT Training & Quality Team following a hybrid Agile methodology.
  • Adhere to the project lifecycle governance standards, ensuring that all activities align with organisational policies and objectives.
  • Provide demonstrations to users and wider business and invite them to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate system functionality and user satisfaction.
  • Identify risks and issues early to ensure they are resolved efficiently at all stages in the development lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all identified bugs or Product Backlog Items (PBIs) are meticulously documented, providing detailed information to developers to facilitate quick and accurate resolution.
  • Accurately estimate work required to meet requirements.
  • Foster strong, open communication with the IT DevOps team, maintaining a collaborative relationship that supports seamless integration and deployment processes.
  • Actively share expertise and insights with colleagues, offering advice, guidance, and assistance as needed to enhance the team’s overall performance.
  • Stay informed of the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing advanced tools and methodologies to enhance both manual and automated testing processes.
  • Propose and advocate for system enhancements and usability improvements, aiming to optimise the overall end-user experience and system efficiency.
