KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Intermediate understanding of UX industry best practices including processes and methodologies
- Intermediate familiarity with inclusive design practices and producing interfaces that adhere to accessibility (WCAG) standards
- Proficiency with a variety of design tools with a focus on Figma
- Proficient in information and interaction design
- Ability to communicate complex design concepts and customer journeys to a variety of customers
- Ability to adhere and maintain style guides, design guides, and design libraries
- Ability to understand business metrics and translate company goals and objectives into digital experiences
- Ability to communicate ideas to developers and product owners
- Problem-solving skills to determine solutions to user interface challenges
- Analytical mind with business acumen
- Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Inquisitive, agile and strong team player with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
- 3+ years of Interaction Design experience required
- Design or computer-related programs such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) experience required

This compensation range is for the IT UX Engineer II - Designer job and contemplates a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to location, skill sets, education, relevant experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for any applicable differentials (geographic, bilingual, or shift) that could be associated with the position or where it is filled. At Commerce, compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each situation. A reasonable estimate of the current base pay is $91,000 to $107,000 annually. This position will be eligible for additional compensation through performance-based incentive plan(s) that will correspond to meeting performance goals.
